Après Ashton Kutcher, parfait sosie du défunt Steve Jobs dans le film Jobs sorti en 2013, c’est au tour de Christian Bale d’accepter d’interpréter le personnage mythique d’Apple pour un second biopic.
Réalisé par Danny Boyle sur un scénario signé Aaron Sorki et adapté de la biographie écrite par Walter Isaacson.
« Nous avions besoin du meilleur acteur d’un certain âge et cet acteur est Chris Bale. « il n’a pas eu besoin de passer d’audition, en fait il y a juste eu une réunion » a tenu à préciser Aaron Sorki au magazine Bloomberg
« Il a plus de mots à dire dans ce film que la plupart des gens dans 3 films combinés. Il n’y a pas une scène ou un plan où il n’est pas présent. C’est un rôle extrêmement difficile et il va tout déchirer »
Rappelons qu’au départ, le film devait être réalisé par David Fincher avec DiCaprio dans le rôle.

Let’s not forget that at first it was a movie supposed to be directed by Fincher and Starring DiCaprio before they both left the project
