On peut clairement parler de carton incroyable pour ce film car même si Disney attendait pas mal de ce dernier, il n’est pas certain que la barre des 600 millions de dollars était au départ envisagée !
Sorti il y a à tout juste 5 semaines, ce sera le 20ème film Disney à réaliser cet exploit ce qui n’est pas énorme tant Disney a sorti des films en réalité…
Au niveau des statistiques, il s’agit du plus gros carton d’Angelina Jolie, du 3ème film ayant rapporté le plus d’argent en 2014 sur le box office International (mais devrait perdre ce titre face à Transformers 4) mais aussi le 4ème plus gros succès de l’année aux Etats-Unis.
Avec un rapport de 400 millions dans le monde pour 200 millions aux Etats-Unis, le film doit encore sortir au Japon le 5 juillet.
Devant Maléfique actuellement sur le podium des plus gros cartons 2014, on retrouve X-Men days of future past avec 713 millions, Captain America 2 avec 711 et enfin Amazing Spiderman 2 avec 702 millions
We can clearly say how incredible Maleficent is doing at the box office because even if Disney expected quite a lot it, is not certain that the bar of 600 millions $ was envisaged at first!
